Monogram 1/48 P-47 Thunderbolt series set the modeling world on fire when both the bubble top and razorback versions were released in the 1970's. In production for decades, thousands upon thousands have been popped out. I bet you have at least two in your personal stashes. They have been surpassed by versions by Hasegawa and Tamiya. Doomed to never be built. No more. This resin update set improves the weaknesses of the Monogram kits. You get a more accurate, correctly sized, 6 piece engine assembly/cowl/flaps. You can also opt to use the kit engine face if you choose. Further this set replaces the out of scale, useless interior with a easy to paint and build 7 piece interior. Also accepts aftermarket photoetch and resin sets. Make a dramatic statement with dropped fowler flaps. To finish this set off are two drop tanks to replace the silly bombs Monogram forces you to use. Thing is aces didn't fly bombers. Now you can build a respectable Monogram P-47 and use all those beautiful and often times sexy decals. This is not your father's Monogram P-47 any more.
This set can be used with both Razorback and bubble top version of the Monogram P-47. Model kit not included with this sale.
